About the role

  • Develop and implement overall strategy for project execution to achieve project performance goals
  • Represent GE to customer; control and manage this interface and relationship
  • Manage internal and external communication loop
  • Set up and secure necessary resources for project execution and organize project team with clearly identified roles
  • Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) and take immediate actions to guarantee financial, time, quality and safety performance
  • Establish, implement and monitor Project Quality Plan, Procedures, and EHS Plan
  • Define strategy for claim management and lead actions accordingly
  • Define Risk Management Plan and constantly update and review risks and opportunities
  • Assume full responsibility for project from Hand-Over from Sales until all obligations completed at FAC and/or Hand Over to Service Sector
  • Build, lead and coach project team; define project goals and provide performance evaluation and development plans
  • Develop and monitor Master Time Schedule and manage Project float to ensure timely completion of Projects
  • Drive Project Execution to maximize Cash and Margin while delivering Projects on-time and in conformity with Contract and managing Customer expectations

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant power generation industrial experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of Project Director experience
  • Large Construction (EPC) and site experience (desired)
  • Project Management Professional Certification (desired)
  • International project execution (desired)
  • Hydro electric industry experience is highly preferred
  • University degree in Business Administration, or equivalent commercial background (desired)
  • Background in contract law, claim management, scheduling, risk and change management
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
  • Established project management skills
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
