Manage the design and delivery of large projects and maintain relations with current and future clients within the Energy business line (Hydropower and Dams team)
Act as a hands-on problem solver working through issues with staff, clients, offices, disciplines, and projects
Foster effective working relationships between colleagues, associates, clients, and officials
Manage multiple projects simultaneously
Establish project objectives, procedures and performance standards and lead multi-disciplinary teams on proposals, planning studies, feasibility through final designs, and construction services
Identify appropriate resources and skill sets to achieve project objectives and manage contract terms
Track and manage costs and schedule and implement measures to stay on schedule and within budget
Lead by example supporting internal policies and practices, including risk management, project management, and quality management
Grow internal and external networks, develop client relationships, and identify additional talent to join the team
Provide mentoring and training for future leaders and develop succession plans for key positions
Promote collaboration and teamwork across business lines and geographies
Requirements
Demonstrated project management skills organizing, planning, and executing projects from pursuit through closeout
Demonstrated successful experience in client service management
Demonstrated successful experience in leadership, including defining and setting direction for a team, project, and office
Demonstrated successful experience preparing proposals, detailed scopes of work, project budgets, and baseline schedules
Demonstrated successful experience in decision making, problem solving, and risk management
Demonstrated successful experience with preparing monthly financial updates
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Travel to other offices as well as to project sites will be required
A minimum of 20 years’ relevant experience in project management, preferably for Hydropower and Dams projects
Bachelor’s degree in civil, structural, geotechnical, mechanical, or electrical engineering (required)
