About the role
- Ensure all site commissioning and installation activities are carried out to the highest standards of Health, Safety and Quality and in a manner that safeguards the environment.
- Ensure that all site commissioning activities are undertaken in full compliance with GE Grid and client policies and procedures.
- Undertake testing and commissioning activities on newly installed primary and secondary equipment during construction phases of projects.
- Manage and supervise staff to ensure projects are executed in line with Client and GE expectations, programmes and within budget.
- Ensure accurate on-site test records, reports and quality documentation are created, maintained, and circulated.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering / HND in Electrical Engineering or Equivalent.
- Experience & knowledge of HV substation protection relays, SCADA systems an IEC61850 protocol.
- Testing & Commissioning of HV and LV Switchgear and Equipment.
- Fault finding on protection schemes and use of test equipment such as omicron, programma & megger.
- Computer literate.
- Full Clean UK driving license.
