About the role

  • Provide strategic legal guidance relating to Swiss Re's business activities across India
  • Handle governance matters and support the Bangalore Legal Head & Company Secretary in Corporate Governance initiatives
  • Manage corporate legal affairs including corporate filings and interactions with statutory authorities
  • Address employment matters by providing expert legal advice and support
  • Draft and review various legal documents including contracts, petitions, and legal notices
  • Support internal investigations and manage litigation while coordinating with stakeholders including law firms, auditors, and consultants
  • Monitor regulatory developments and analyze their impact on Swiss Re's business operations in India
  • Contribute to regional initiatives as part of the APAC Legal & Compliance team

Requirements

  • India qualified lawyer with 8-12 years post-qualification experience (PQE), preferably with Bar Council registration
  • Demonstrated experience in corporate governance, statutory compliance, and employment law matters
  • Proven ability to draft and review various legal documents including contracts and legal notices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (local language proficiency preferred)
  • Experience in managing litigation and coordinating with external stakeholders
