About the role
- Provide effective customer service to internal and external customers using ERP systems
- Process customer orders, changes, and returns according to department policies
- Perform contract review procedures
- Prepare quotations and apply appropriate pricing
- Respond to customer requests for pricing, stock, order status, and general information
- Enter part numbers, pricing, and descriptions into ERP item master
- Coordinate and expedite material to meet customer requirements
- Fulfill rush order needs and understand accounts receivable, shipping, and cut-off times
- Understand assigned customer pricing matrix
- Identify returnable material and conduct research for credits
- Problem solve with outside sales and work with Accounting to resolve order disputes
- Complete assigned departmental projects
Requirements
- Associate or technical degree OR 2-3 years of customer service experience
- Strong business, creative, and technical writing skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Effective interpersonal, organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to multitask
- Thorough understanding of ERP systems
- Ability to read and interpret procedure and product information manuals
- Ability to lift 20 pounds and perform occasional crouch, crawl, kneel, and stoop
- May travel occasionally for training
