About the role

  • Provide effective customer service to internal and external customers using ERP systems
  • Process customer orders, changes, and returns according to department policies
  • Perform contract review procedures
  • Prepare quotations and apply appropriate pricing
  • Respond to customer requests for pricing, stock, order status, and general information
  • Enter part numbers, pricing, and descriptions into ERP item master
  • Coordinate and expedite material to meet customer requirements
  • Fulfill rush order needs and understand accounts receivable, shipping, and cut-off times
  • Understand assigned customer pricing matrix
  • Identify returnable material and conduct research for credits
  • Problem solve with outside sales and work with Accounting to resolve order disputes
  • Complete assigned departmental projects

Requirements

  • Associate or technical degree OR 2-3 years of customer service experience
  • Strong business, creative, and technical writing skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Effective interpersonal, organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to multitask
  • Thorough understanding of ERP systems
  • Ability to read and interpret procedure and product information manuals
  • Ability to lift 20 pounds and perform occasional crouch, crawl, kneel, and stoop
  • May travel occasionally for training
