About the role

  • Assisting in developing and executing comprehensive communications strategies
  • Conducting regular and thorough research on various topics, flagging relevant news updates for teams/clients
  • Assisting in coordinating client requests as needed including but not limited to: schedules, glam/grooming, providing on-site staffing support when appropriate, participating in weekly calls.
  • Coordinating administrative needs across accounts including scheduling, drafting and maintaining agendas and updates;
  • Maintaining media lists and begin to develop an arsenal of go-to reporters
  • Supporting team leads in writing pitches and press releases, drafting media materials, vetting and credentialing media and more.
  • Maintaining current knowledge of trends in entertainment, lifestyle and culture arena.
  • Drafting, editing and proofreading materials including press releases, blog content, pitches, fact sheets, FAQs, briefing notes, and client correspondence
  • Conducting client media monitoring and developing media coverage/placement and analysis reports
  • Assisting in planning and executing media-specific events including events and press moments. Support would include developing invite lists, managing RSVPs, wrangling media on-site, drafting and distributing post-event releases, etc
  • Supporting senior managers on achieving deliverables for a full roster of clients (average of 4 – 6)
  • Regularly bringing new opportunities for clients – media meetings, key introductions, etc
  • Working with senior management to respond to client requests and ensure requests are taken care of in an efficient manner

Requirements

  • 3-4 years working at a PR firm in the entertainment industry or related field.
  • At least 2 years working specifically managing talent either talent agency or management firm.
  • Strong ability to network and maintain relationships.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Strong writing, research and organizational skills
  • Creative thinking with a problem-solving and resourceful attitude.
  • Experience working with talent.
  • Tenacious follow through and attention to detail/organization.
  • Able to work within an integrated agency model, collaborating well with internal groups when appropriate.
  • Over-delivers rather than meets expectations and constantly strives for excellence.
  • Curiosity and an entrepreneurial spirit.
