About the role

  • Manage and support construction projects, coordinating with clients, project teams, and 3rd-party engineering review to ensure compliance with contract specifications.
  • Support the project manager in overseeing pre-construction and on-site construction activities, ensuring alignment with project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Review and manage project documentation, including drawings, submittals, RFIs, and schedules, ensuring accurate and timely updates.
  • Prepare, track, and resolve Requests for Information (RFIs); coordinate with vendors, engineers, and subcontractors.
  • Maintain strict version control for project documents, drawings, and specifications.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with safety standards.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors and vendors to troubleshoot materials and services issues and resolve on-site problems.
  • Generate and distribute progress reports, meeting minutes, and other documentation to stakeholders.
  • Assist Project Managers in developing and updating project schedules using tools like Procore or MS Project and identify potential delays.
  • Ensure work meets project specifications, building codes, and industry standards through QA/QC coordination.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience as a project engineer in construction, with on-site project management experience.
  • Experience managing RFIs and maintaining version control for project documents.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
  • Experience with Procore.
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
  • Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work on-site full-time and travel to project locations as needed.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Preferred: Experience with PV projects greater than 30MWdc.
  • Preferred: Experience with Substation and/or Transmission Construction.
