Manage and support construction projects, coordinating with clients, project teams, and 3rd-party engineering review to ensure compliance with contract specifications.
Support the project manager in overseeing pre-construction and on-site construction activities, ensuring alignment with project plans, schedules, and budgets.
Review and manage project documentation, including drawings, submittals, RFIs, and schedules, ensuring accurate and timely updates.
Prepare, track, and resolve Requests for Information (RFIs); coordinate with vendors, engineers, and subcontractors.
Maintain strict version control for project documents, drawings, and specifications.
Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with safety standards.
Collaborate with subcontractors and vendors to troubleshoot materials and services issues and resolve on-site problems.
Generate and distribute progress reports, meeting minutes, and other documentation to stakeholders.
Assist Project Managers in developing and updating project schedules using tools like Procore or MS Project and identify potential delays.
Ensure work meets project specifications, building codes, and industry standards through QA/QC coordination.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
2-5 years of experience as a project engineer in construction, with on-site project management experience.
Experience managing RFIs and maintaining version control for project documents.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
Experience with Procore.
Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
Ability to work on-site full-time and travel to project locations as needed.
Valid driver’s license.
Preferred: Experience with PV projects greater than 30MWdc.
Preferred: Experience with Substation and/or Transmission Construction.
