Managing water and wastewater infrastructure projects of varying complexity.
Providing leadership in the planning, design, and execution of major water/wastewater projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices in utility infrastructure.
Preparing project documents and designs, conducting analyses, interpreting data, and planning and coordinating specific aspects of water/wastewater engineering work.
Reviewing and approving project deliverables, including drawings and specifications.
Serving as a technical expert in water and wastewater engineering.
Performing QA/QC on project deliverables, ensuring the technical accuracy and constructability of water/wastewater engineering designs and documentation.
Mentoring and coaching junior and mid-level engineers.
Overseeing project teams, ensuring alignment with technical standards, project schedules, and organizational goals.
Collaborating with senior management on strategic planning for water/wastewater services and assisting with business development efforts including client engagement and proposal development.
Preparing proposals and/or funding applications.
Requirements
Bachelor's or master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Professional Engineer (PE) license.
Typically requires 12+ years of relevant and progressive water and wastewater engineering experience.
Proven success in managing large and/or complex projects.
Proficiency in project scheduling software and tools.
Proficiency with relevant engineering software and tools for design, project management, and analysis.
Strong leadership and strategic thinking skills.
Excellent communication and client management abilities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including: Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
