About the role
- Direct leadership for a team of ~25 and indirect for over 300 team members within our agile delivery teams
- Align the delivery teams with the overall Health business unit and Operations team strategy and goals to ensure all initiatives contribute to the organization's success
- Understand client needs and Operations process flows to ensure the model delivers products or capabilities that meet or exceed expectations
- Build and oversee the medium/longer term execution and solution roadmap for technology investment to meet business unit and Operations strategic objectives / OKRs, in partnership with Technology Leads
- Define key results to assess the success and health of the delivery teams, allowing for data-driven decision making and performance evaluation
- Collaborate with journey/hub owners and tech leads to continuously monitor and analyze the flow of work identifying bottlenecks, delays and areas of improvements
- Serve as thought leader and trusted business advisor to senior management, value stream owners and various stakeholders as it pertains to execution/delivery expertise
- Partner with technology and platform leaders to deliver strategic solutions that drive value, align with the organization’s strategy and can be leveraged/reused across business units
- Collaborate with various departments and teams involved in delivery, acting as the primary Operations platform representative, fostering communication, and ensuring a seamless flow of work across different functions
- Make strategic decisions related to delivery, including resource allocation, prioritization of capabilities/features, and addressing impediments that may hinder progress
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with delivery, whether related to technology, processes, or external factors, to ensure smooth and reliable delivery
- Ensure that the necessary resources, including people, technology, and budget, are allocated appropriately to support business unit objectives through delivery of initiatives that have been prioritized at the portfolio level
- Work closely with the technology leads, architect and the journey/platform owners in end-to-end solution design to ensure technology/process solutions deliver maximum business value while considering user adoption, scalability and cross-platform capabilities
Requirements
- University degree or related work experience
- Minimum of 10+ years’ relevant digital delivery experience
- Proven track record of implementation experience in insurance or financial services technology systems and platforms; Health or Group Benefits knowledge would be an asset
- Demonstrate knowledge of technology platforms or ability to learn about technology and digital products, experience working on technical products is a plus
- Experience working with Agile teams is an asset
- Bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required for Quebec only
