About the role
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounts payable function
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, expense reports, and payments
- Manage and supervise the Accounts Payable Coordinator
- Review and approve invoices, expense reports, and payment requests
- Design, implement, and monitor comprehensive internal control procedures
- Conduct periodic reviews of payment processes and vendor relationships
- Act as the primary liaison between the company and its vendors
- Monitor vendor satisfaction and escalate systemic issues
- Prepare and analyze accounts payable reports for management review
- Support timely and accurate completion of monthly and annual closing activities
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 4+ years of experience in accounts payable, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Experience with process improvement and implementing internal controls
- Sage Intacct, DocLink, and Avid Pay experience is a plus
