About the role

  • Own end-to-end delivery execution across multiple engineering teams, ensuring every sprint and release has:
  • Clear scope
  • Identified dependencies
  • Accountable owners
  • Realistic delivery plans
  • Establish and publish a weekly delivery scorecard (commit vs. delivered, carryover, blockers, risk).
  • Reduce delivery variance and last-minute surprises through disciplined planning and scope control.
  • Lead Daily Scrums, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and a highly effective Scrum of Scrums.
  • Surface and resolve dependencies across Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, Data Integration, WFM, Real Time, and Platform teams.
  • Maintain a unified sprint calendar and roadmap view for all stakeholders.
  • Ensure consistent operating cadence and communication across U.S. and India-based teams.
  • Define and enforce the Definition of Ready (DoR), Definition of Done (DoD), Sprint Scope Freeze, and Controlled hotfix and escalation paths.
  • Ensure releases follow auditable, repeatable paths, including Code review, Automated testing, QA sign-off, and Product-owned UAT approval.
  • Escalate scope creep, readiness gaps, or delivery risk early, with data.
  • Own Jira and GitLab governance to ensure tools enforce behavior, not bypass it.
  • Standardize Jira configurations across teams and implement Jira Versions/Releases for unified deployment tracking.
  • Champion GitLab adoption, including MR approval gates, CI/CD enforcement, Security scanning (SAST, DAST, secret detection), Deployment governance.
  • Establish and track meaningful delivery metrics, including lead time, deployment frequency, change failure rate, defect leakage, sprint predictability, and DORA metrics.
  • Conduct value stream mapping to identify bottlenecks, wait time, rework, and opportunity cost.
  • Maintain a prioritized backlog of delivery improvements.
  • Facilitate retrospectives and post-mortems that focus on systemic fixes, not blame.
  • Build a culture where teams can safely say “no” to unrealistic demands and leaders trust the data.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in software delivery, with 5+ years leading multi-team technical programs.
  • Proven success implementing and scaling Agile and SDLC discipline across complex environments.
  • Strong technical fluency in CI/CD, DevOps practices, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS), and modern SaaS architectures.
  • Hands-on experience with GitLab, GitHub Enterprise, or Azure DevOps at an enterprise level.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and hold firm boundaries under pressure.
  • Experience working with geographically distributed teams (U.S./India strongly preferred).
  • Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks (SOC2, ISO 27001).
  • PMP, CSM, SAFe, or similar certifications are a plus.
