About the role

  • Provide coverage for Leaves of Absences, typically 4 weeks or longer
  • Support Neurosurgical business unit throughout the United States
  • Travel 95% overnight; must be able to drive automobile
  • Educate and inform doctors, nurses, and staff on proper use and maintenance of Stryker products
  • Promote Stryker products and provide excellent customer service
  • Tailor promotional message based on customer knowledge
  • Direct product evaluations in OR and office settings
  • Assist in preparation and operation of trade shows, conventions, and clinical meetings
  • Keep sales representative informed of territory progress
  • Solve product problems for customers
  • Assist in training and development of sales personnel
  • Understand and adhere to OR and OSHA guidelines during product evaluations
  • Exhibit base understanding of computers for use of Stryker SIS program
  • Adhere to GMP policies and procedures as stipulated by the FDA

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 2+ years of proven work experience, medical related fields preferred
  • Prior sales or marketing experience preferred
  • Must be able to readily solve customer complaints and questions
  • Must have command of all products sold or marketed by the business unit, including functionality, features, and factors that differentiate Stryker products from its competitors’ products, and be able to disseminate this knowledge to the customer
  • Must be able to analyze territory market potential prioritize call patterns accordingly
  • 12 month commitment to the role
