About the role

  • Perform preventive maintenance, installation, site surveys, demand and emergency services for digital cinema equipment
  • Perform maintenance on cinema projection equipment, digital signage, sound systems, servers, and power supplies
  • Provide demand service for customers; determine and execute a support plan
  • Test electronic assemblies, components, or parts using ohmmeter, voltmeter, ammeter, color meter, resistance bridge, oscilloscope, and automatic or computerized test equipment
  • Examine equipment and assemblies for defects and replace defective components
  • Repair equipment and perform field testing; resolve firmware and software issues
  • Direct investigation of customer complaints regarding quality, tolerances, specifications, and delivered condition of products
  • Record, analyze, and inform appropriate personnel of production quality and customer complaint status using written and electronic reporting
  • Install electronic or digital equipment and test; record activities in Field Point daily including work description, expenses, hours, labor and travel
  • Take ownership and perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with electronics related to the Pro-Av market
  • Familiarity with computer and networking concepts and architecture
  • Experience with digital cinema equipment is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficient with MS Office
  • Exceptional customer service skills required
  • Valid, state issued driver’s license
  • Ability to stand, sit, squat and bend for a period of time
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Comfortable working in a high-stress, face-paced environment with shifting priorities
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Self-starter who can find and resolve issues as they are identified
  • Ability to successfully interface with a wide range of personnel within the organization
  • Willingness to travel in and out of market up to 70-80% of the time; ability to work weekends, holidays and on-call
