About the role

  • Define and drive StrideUp’s people strategy, embedding mission, values, and behaviours
  • Oversee recruitment to ensure a first-class candidate experience and help managers hire top talent across functions
  • Own HR processes and systems including contracts, onboarding/offboarding, benefits, and employee lifecycle management
  • Lead culture and engagement initiatives such as all-hands, Values in Action nominations, employee surveys, and values embedding
  • Develop and manage compensation frameworks including payroll, remuneration policies, and sales bonus schemes
  • Roll out and embed OKRs; support managers in developing individual growth plans and feedback processes
  • Produce monthly HR management information packs, oversee headcount approvals, and provide insights to leadership
  • Deliver strategic projects (remuneration framework, employee experience improvements, the StrideUp Hub in Notion)
  • Ensure smooth running of office-related people operations including ID cards, starter templates/folders, and people systems

Requirements

  • 8+ years’ experience in senior HR/People roles across people operations, talent, and culture
  • Experience ideally within fintech or financial services start-ups/scale-ups
  • Proven success in start-up/scale-up environments, building people functions from the ground up
  • Comfortable in fast-paced, high-growth environments; able to create structure while scaling teams
  • Strategic thinker; able to design frameworks (remuneration, OKRs, culture embedding) and dive into detail
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management; experience working directly with executive teams
  • Expertise across talent acquisition, HR operations, employee engagement, and compensation/benefits
  • Confident with people systems (Workable, BrightHR, Notion or similar)
  • Track record of designing and embedding frameworks (OKRs, remuneration, values, employee surveys)
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills
  • Passionate about creating an engaging, values-led workplace that attracts and retains top talent
