About the role
- Ensure effective collection, analysis, maintenance, and reporting of school data for compliance purposes
- Responsible for all student and school record entry and maintenance in preparation for state audit and review
- Perform data entry into the student information system (SIS); verify accuracy, correct errors and resolve issues to minimize funding loss
- Monitor all deadlines communicated by state departments of education for compliance functions; support administrators with completion of reports to regulatory entities and K12
- Develop systems to track compliance items (45-day screenings, teacher certifications, fingerprint clearance cards for staff, free/reduced lunch data, etc.)
- Develop, implement and enforce processes to audit student and employee files quarterly; verify student attendance records, including source data and uploads
- Maintain all necessary records required for state audit related to student performance and progress through mastery of all K12 data systems
- Collaborate with internal compliance team to review and audit reports prior to submission to the district and state
- Regularly communicate all compliance-related processes and issues to stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree AND One (1) year of experience OR Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to travel 10% of the time
- Ability to clear required background check
- Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week
- Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during workday, typically 9-5 (or 8-4) or as defined by the school
- Residency Requirements: This position is remote and strongly prefer candidates that reside in South Carolina but will consider out-of-state candidates
