Ensure conformance of Special Education programs to state and local school board standards through evaluation, development and coordination activities.
Research and implement non-K12 curriculum resources that meet state standards.
Articulate the school’s mission and vision to ensure all stakeholders have a common understanding.
Utilize communication technologies that effectively support a predominantly virtual / remote work environment.
Ensure that the school is meeting the needs of Special Education students while complying with local, state, and federal laws.
Interface with Special Education students, families, and local districts regarding compliance as it relates to student attendance.
Develop and oversee implementation of the school’s Student Achievement Improvement Plan.
Supervise and evaluate teaching staff; manage teacher performance and provide necessary training.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree
3+ years related professional experience
Missouri Special Education Teaching Certification required
Administrator Certification preferred
Must reside in Missouri
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.); Web proficiency.
Ability to travel 20% of the time for meetings, professional development, etc.
Ability to clear required background check.
