About the role
- Provide support for the Joint Staff Knowledge Management/Decision Support (KM/DS) management tool
- Perform on-site and remote help desk duties to address end user requests for assistance, questions, concerns, and problems via telephone, in-person, and e-mail
- Perform high level functional and IT analysis
- Design, develop, integrate, and document assistance on problems requiring thorough technical knowledge
- Interact with network services, software systems engineering, and/or applications development to restore service and/or identify and correct core problems
- Simulate or recreate end user problems to resolve operating difficulties
- Recommend system modifications to reduce end user problems
- Document, track, and monitor problems to ensure timely resolution
- Perform system backups and recovery
- Maintain data files and monitor system configuration to ensure data integrity
Requirements
- DOD Top Secret Security Clearance
- Bachelors’ degree from an accredited college or university with a curriculum or major field of study in computer science, information system plus three (3) years of task related experience; OR Associates’ degree from a college or university with a curriculum or major field of study in computer science, information system, plus six (6) years task related experience; OR an applicable training certificate issued in accordance with guidelines provided by the software vendor (i.e. Microsoft MCSE/MCSA, Oracle DBA,) from an accredited training institution plus ten (10) years of task related experience.
- CompTIA Security+CE or equivalent IAT II certification
