Serve as the first point of contact for hospital providers and Steadfast’s inpatient consult team, delivering professional, compassionate communication that fosters trust and comfort
Provide administrative support to ensure smooth operation of inpatient consultation services
Collect and accurately document patient information, medical history, and consent forms, ensuring timely and precise data entry into Steadfast’s Electronic Health Record (EHR), Athena
Collect patient insurance details and confirm coverage
Maintain complete, accurate, and up-to-date EHR records, including treatment plans and test results, while protecting confidentiality
Collaborate remotely with clinicians, hospital staff, and administrative teams to ensure timely, coordinated, and efficient patient care
Uphold strict compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a Medical Assistant (MA) training program preferred
Prior administrative or clinical support experience in a healthcare setting, ideally in behavioral health or substance use disorder (SUD) care
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with proven experience managing scheduling, data entry, and patient records remotely
Exceptional customer service and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport in a compassionate, non-judgmental, and patient-centered way
Ability to manage sensitive or challenging situations with professionalism, patience, and empathy
Proficiency with digital tools and systems, including EHR platforms (e.g., Athenahealth), scheduling software, and secure communication platforms; ability to quickly adapt to new technologies
