About the role
- Provide leadership and strategic direction for statewide SUD recovery support services and initiatives.
- Develop and implement policies that promote recovery-oriented systems of care.
- Oversee contracts, grants, and program performance for recovery support providers.
- Collaborate with community organizations, healthcare systems, recovery community organizations, and peer support networks.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Lead initiatives to improve service access, equity, and outcomes for individuals with substance use disorders.
- Analyze program data and evaluation findings to inform policy, funding, and program improvements.
- Manage program budgets and allocate resources to support statewide recovery services.
- Represent the agency in interagency workgroups, legislative briefings, and stakeholder meetings.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in public health, public administration, business administration, environmental science, emergency response, human services, social sciences related fields or health-related fields AND three (3) years of experience in administration or management of a public health or human services program INCLUDING one (1) year of supervisory experience.
- OR Bachelor’s degree in public health, public administration, business administration, environmental science, emergency response, human services, social sciences related fields or health-related fields AND four (4) years of experience in administration or management of a public health or human services program INCLUDING one (1) year of supervisory experience.
- OR Three (3) years or more of experience as a Public Health Program Manager I.
- OR Two (2) years or more of experience as a Public Health Program Manager II.
- Preferred Qualifications Supervisory or management experience.
