About the role

  • Support highway maintenance and operations in Clarendon.
  • Perform tasks to keep Vermont’s roads safe and reliable, including repairing guardrails, patching pavement, ditching, clearing brush, and picking up litter.
  • Play a critical role in plowing and salting during winter weather events.
  • Overtime may be required.

Requirements

  • No education or experience required.
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Possession of a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required for the successful completion of original probation.
  • An incumbent must live within reasonable proximity of assigned workstation.
  • Must complete all VTTC required coursework within six (6) months or be enrolled.
