About the role

Responsible for various tasks related to highway maintenance, such as repairing guardrails, cutting trees/brush, patching roads, picking litter, ditching, and more.
In the winter months, this position will also assist with plowing and salting.
Overtime may be required.
This position is eligible for a sign-on and retention bonus of up to $2000! Newly hired CDL and non-CDL holders who are hired into permanent maintenance worker or mechanic job on or after July 13, 2025 are eligible.

No education or experience required.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
A valid driver's license is required.
An incumbent must live within reasonable proximity of assigned workstation.
Possession of a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required for the successful completion of original probation.
An incumbent must complete all VTTC required coursework within six (6) months or be enrolled.
