About the role
- Monitor the operation of the SCADA system to ensure stable performance.
- Regularly inspect and maintain SCADA hardware and software, including servers, workstations, and network devices.
- Respond to and resolve technical issues within the SCADA system, including troubleshooting and repairs.
- Configure and optimize the SCADA system to enhance performance and reliability.
- Participate in SCADA system upgrade and expansion projects, including requirements analysis, design, and implementation.
- Write and update system operation documentation to standardize maintenance processes.
- Collaborate with the development team on custom development projects to meet specific business needs.
- Monitor network security to ensure the security of the SCADA system.
- Provide system operation reports and improvement recommendations to management.
- Travel to client sites in the project destination country to provide technical support based on business needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Automation, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with SCADA system architecture and principles.
- Strong network knowledge, including TCP/IP protocols, network security and network package capture/analysis.
- Familiarity with common communication protocols in the power industry (IEC104, Modbus, OPC, IEC61850, etc.) and related testing software.
- Proficiency in SCADA database maintenance and data acquisition tools.
- Skilled in using Linux systems and MySQL databases.
- Ability to use scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automating tasks.
- Experience with SCADA software for power industry.
- Proficient in English for work-related communication; Mandarin reading and speaking is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, strong sense of responsibility, good team spirit.
- Good communication and documentation skills; ability to work under pressure and meet urgent demands.
- Willingness to travel to client sites to provide technical support.
