About the role

  • Monitor the operation of the SCADA system to ensure stable performance.
  • Regularly inspect and maintain SCADA hardware and software, including servers, workstations, and network devices.
  • Respond to and resolve technical issues within the SCADA system, including troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Configure and optimize the SCADA system to enhance performance and reliability.
  • Participate in SCADA system upgrade and expansion projects, including requirements analysis, design, and implementation.
  • Write and update system operation documentation to standardize maintenance processes.
  • Collaborate with the development team on custom development projects to meet specific business needs.
  • Monitor network security to ensure the security of the SCADA system.
  • Provide system operation reports and improvement recommendations to management.
  • Travel to client sites in the project destination country to provide technical support based on business needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Automation, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with SCADA system architecture and principles.
  • Strong network knowledge, including TCP/IP protocols, network security and network package capture/analysis.
  • Familiarity with common communication protocols in the power industry (IEC104, Modbus, OPC, IEC61850, etc.) and related testing software.
  • Proficiency in SCADA database maintenance and data acquisition tools.
  • Skilled in using Linux systems and MySQL databases.
  • Ability to use scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automating tasks.
  • Experience with SCADA software for power industry.
  • Proficient in English for work-related communication; Mandarin reading and speaking is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, strong sense of responsibility, good team spirit.
  • Good communication and documentation skills; ability to work under pressure and meet urgent demands.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites to provide technical support.
