Maintain the health of the robot fleet through daily maintenance and repair tasks (diagnose problems, troubleshoot malfunctions, repair/replace parts such as tires, electronics, motors)
Carry out preventive maintenance activities and upgrades on robots and infrastructure
Monitor and service internal systems, run tests, complete reports, and implement updates or improvements
Perform root cause analysis and develop solutions to prevent/solve underlying issues
Accurately document tasks and service concerns using appropriate applications/tools
Maintain a clean and organized hub; perform spare parts inventory audits twice a week and ensure tools are returned to proper locations
Work with engineering to identify potential improvements regarding robot health and design
Assist Operational Team, vendors, and merchants with in-person support, weekly Merchant Preflights, and troubleshooting of Starship-provided devices
Occasionally support Robot field rescues or operational service tasks
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
A passion for robots and innovative technologies
Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering or another related STEM field
Good knowledge regarding mechanics, electronics, and IT
Excellent client-facing skills
Self-starter; takes initiative, can work without supervision and begin projects independently
Knowledge of Unix/Linux systems, CLI tools, and scripting preferred but not required
Hobby projects in electronics or mechanics
Previous experience in Technical Support and with any service desk application is beneficial but not required
Previous experience in managing a large fleet of devices
Physical ability for frequent wrist/hand/finger dexterity and full-body exertion
