About the role
- Champion customer engagement and oversee front of store operations to increase sales, conversions, and service
- Actively engage customers to provide complete solutions and consultative selling
- Own weekly sales and merchandising activities and complete daily merchandising tasks
- Perform Floor Leader role, directing the team to deliver a great customer experience
- Assist with completing and delegating operational tasks in partnership with the GM
- Peer coach team on behaviors to win, deliver great customer service and deliver results through role playing and feedback
- Be flexible and adaptable to company initiatives and perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Able to work a flexible schedule based on the store’s needs
- 1+ year experience selling retail products or services
- Must be able to and want to engage with customers and understand their needs
- Effective communication skills, organization, and adaptive to changing business priorities
- Experience coaching a team and/or supervising others
- Ability to work cooperatively in a high paced and sometimes stressful environment
- Manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational and cooperative manner
- Ability to act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- Ability to lift/move materials in the 10 - 50 pound range, climb ladders, stand and walk continuously
