About the role
- Provides hands-on care to patients in an evidence-based manner
- Performs all steps of the nursing process, including assessing patients and planning, implementing, and evaluating care
- Teaches patients and families the skills needed to manage care and prevent complications
- Collaborates with health care teams to develop individualized plans of care
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college or university preferred
- 1 or more years of oncology/hematology experience
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills required
- Excellent IV skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively in a complex health care environment
- Able to communicate effectively in English.

- California Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Oncology Nursing Society Chemotherapy/ Biotherapy certification preferred or for an experienced oncology RN to obtain within 3 months
