About the role

  • Manage the leave of absence process in compliance with all policies and laws, coordinating with employees, supervisors, Human Resource Leaders (HRLs), and vendors
  • Continuously improve leave processes to enhance the employee experience and business needs, while monitoring time sheets and processing pay differentials
  • Daily administration of full employee benefit experience, including health and welfare insurance plans, 401(k), leave, and wellness initiatives
  • Maintain benefit resources, process changes, and employee communications to ensure accurate processing and a seamless employee experience
  • Drive process and program improvements by identifying efficiencies and fostering a team-based approach to managing workloads
  • Provide backup support as needed and collaborate with benefits colleagues
  • Implement communication strategies that help employees and new hires understand, access, and maximize their benefits
  • Prepare and analyze benefit data and trends for internal reporting and planning
  • Handle ad-hoc requests and assist with various short- and long-term projects as needed

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in benefits and leave administration
  • Solid understanding of employee programs such as self-insured medical insurance, short- and long-term disability, and 401K
  • Comprehensive understanding of multi-state benefits compliance, including ERISA, COBRA, FLSA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125, and Workers’ Compensation
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Entrepreneurial drive to continuously improve processes and outcomes
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with sharp attention to detail
  • Proficient and comfortable working in HR systems and Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Adept at learning new systems or technology
  • Collaborative team player with ability to build relationships across functions
  • Enthusiasm to contribute to Stand Together's vision and principled approach
  • Standout: Experience working in UKG
  • Standout: SHRM or PHR certifications
