Assist the policy team in researching and drafting policy papers, op-eds, blogs, press releases, and other materials on issues including tax reform, tech policy, healthcare, antitrust, and regulation
Monitor legislative and regulatory developments such as congressional votes and committee hearings
Conduct background research for other team projects
Attend events in Washington, D.C. to promote TPAF’s interests
Participate in Stand Together Fellowships professional development virtual sessions and attend the in-person summit
Interview with partner organizations and Stand Together Fellowships staff as part of the selection process
Requirements
Must be geographically located within the U.S. and authorized to work in the U.S. through the duration of the program
Interest in economic and regulatory policy areas debated in Congress and the executive branch
Strong commitment to free-market economics and limited government
Strong writing skills
Previous experience in policy research preferred but not required
MUST be available every other Thursday (Jan. 22, Feb. 12, Feb. 26, March 12, March 26, April 9) from 1-3:30 PM ET for virtual professional development training
MUST attend in-person summit at Stand Together's Headquarters in Arlington, VA Feb. 6-Feb. 7
This role is part-time, in person, in Washington, D.C.
