About the role
- Assist the policy team in researching and drafting policy papers, op-eds, blogs, press releases, and other materials on issues including tax reform, tech policy, healthcare, antitrust, and regulation
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments such as congressional votes and committee hearings
- Conduct background research for other team projects
- Attend events in Washington, D.C. to promote TPAF’s interests
- Participate in Stand Together Fellowships professional development virtual sessions and attend the in-person summit
- Interview with partner organizations and Stand Together Fellowships staff as part of the selection process
Requirements
- Must be geographically located within the U.S. and authorized to work in the U.S. through the duration of the program
- Interest in economic and regulatory policy areas debated in Congress and the executive branch
- Strong commitment to free-market economics and limited government
- Strong writing skills
- Previous experience in policy research preferred but not required
- MUST be available every other Thursday (Jan. 22, Feb. 12, Feb. 26, March 12, March 26, April 9) from 1-3:30 PM ET for virtual professional development training
- MUST attend in-person summit at Stand Together's Headquarters in Arlington, VA Feb. 6-Feb. 7
- This role is part-time, in person, in Washington, D.C.
