About the role
- Responsible for performing a variety of billing functions to minimize accounts receivable and enhance collection
- Works in a timely and courteous manner when responding to patients, physicians or insurance companies inquiries
- Serves as a resource person for ALL department staff on questions regarding billing and claims issues
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Up to one year of basic technical training in health care billing/customer service
- Three to six months of previous experience
- Three months or less of on the job training and orientation
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred
