About the role
- Conduct Root Cause Investigations for customer-related Non-Conformances for machined components.
- Develop and maintain a corrective action follow-up plan, including maintenance and tracking of effectiveness.
- Effectively communicate on customer calls, providing updates on investigations, corrective action plans, and effectiveness checks.
- Monitor and evaluate process indicators such as yield, takt time, and throughput during validation.
- Document findings and provide feedback/recommendations for corrective actions or improvements.
- Collaborate with the on-site team on implementation and monitoring of corrective actions and review internal processes for broader applicability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, or related field) or equivalent experience.
- 3–5+ years of Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) or Quality Engineering experience, preferably with exposure to aerospace and automotive industries.
- Hands-on experience with Root Cause Investigation, Corrective Action Implementation, and Effectiveness Checks.
- Familiarity with process performance metrics (yield, takt time, throughput).
- Ability to interpret and apply manufacturing standards and quality requirements.
- Strong problem-solving, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional and supplier engagement.
- Continuous improvement mindset with demonstrated ability to identify risks and implement sustainable controls.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. lawful permanent resident (green card holder) due to ITAR requirements.
