About the role

  • Draft, review, and revise contracts, including service agreements, joint venture agreements, and non-disclosure agreements.
  • Manage certificate of interest requests, including drafting, reviewing, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare supporting memoranda for attorneys and business units.
  • Prepare, file, and maintain corporate documents related to licensing, registrations, and ongoing compliance.
  • Support corporate governance functions, including maintaining corporate records, resolutions, and filings.
  • Respond to internal and external requests for information, including regulators, partners, and shareholders.
  • Assist with ethics and compliance initiatives, including policies, training, and audits.
  • Develop, maintain , and update the legal document database and contract management system.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with corporate policies and applicable laws.
  • Manage multiple projects, balance competing deadlines, and adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant legal experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience drafting, cite-checking, and reviewing contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Familiarity with corporate governance, licensing requirements, and regulatory filings.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving processes, technologies, and business needs.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and standard business applications (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel).
  • Paralegal certificate from an ABA-accredited program, or a demonstrated combination of relevant education, proven legal experience, and certifications related to legal knowledge or organizational skills.
