Engineer

• Serves as the engineer supporting development and design for projects involving coastal engineering, including coastal processes, shoreline erosion protection, maintenance dredging and beach nourishment, wetland protection and restoration, and engineering with nature and nature-based solutions concepts
• Leads engineering planning and design including, but not limited to, concept designs, alternative studies, basis of design requirements, construction drawings, technical reports and specifications, and construction cost estimates
• Provides technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers
• Manages team and coordinates with client’s project manager and/or technical staff
• Develops client relationships, leads proposals, and contributes to the sales process
• Analyzes complex problems and develops value-engineered solutions
• Leads the preparation and coordination of project deliverables including construction documents
• Ensures that work products are prepared in accordance with Anchor QEA’s quality management program
• Ability to travel for field site visits and project meetings in various US locations

Coastal Engineer

• Deliver a defined capstone project with assistance from senior engineers, scientists, planners, and other professionals.
• To support this goal, interns may be asked to: Support implementation of remedial investigations/feasibility studies and design evaluations
• Conduct research and analysis around prospective clients, trends, strategies, industries, activation needs, etc.
• Assist with field planning, data analysis, and report writing
• Assist with research and data entry for new business initiatives
• Partner to complete field sampling activities in-water and/or on land, project field documentation and supporting preparation of figures and tables for project deliverables
• Conduct field activities, including collection of sediment, soil, water, air, waste, or biota samples or other field tasks
• Complete OSHA HAZWOPER training as required
• Update documents, calendars, schedules, weekly statuses, etc.

Internship – Engineer, Environmental Sciences

• Provide support for environmental and civil engineering projects through engineering analyses, field investigations, and construction oversight.
• Prepare engineering deliverables including design drawings, technical specifications, cost estimation, and calculations.
• Assist with data evaluation and report writing (e.g., sampling plans, investigation reports, design reports).
• Support multidisciplinary projects involving remediation and infrastructure.
• Perform environmental sampling (soil, sediment, groundwater, surface water, biota)

Junior Environmental Engineer

Attorney

• Assist in maintaining and organizing a centralized database of legal documents within Ironclad, ensuring accurate record-keeping, version control, and easy access for relevant team members.
• Assist with drafting and negotiating a variety of legal documents, including agreements, filings, corporate consents, employment contracts, policy materials, and other essential documents, while collaborating with internal stakeholders and external parties.
• Conduct legal research on diverse company matters, including contract law, employment issues, compliance requirements, and industry-specific regulations.
• Collaborate across multiple departments (e.g., HR, Finance, Operations) to efficiently manage legal tasks and projects.

Internship – Legal Services

Marketing

• Deliver a structured, data-driven capstone project that informs growth strategy, investment decisions, or market positioning.
• Partner with the Market Growth Initiative Leader to conduct market research, competitive analysis, and funding stream assessments supporting targeted growth initiatives
• Collaborate with the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Leader to connect market insights with financial performance for pipeline, sales, backlog, and revenue trends
• Analyze historical and current financial performance by market segment and identify risks and opportunities tied to revenue realization
• Assist in evaluating organic growth opportunities and support preliminary assessment of potential merger and acquisition (M&A) targets, including financial and strategic considerations
• Analyze client resource management and sales pipeline data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
• Support development and review of financial and scenario-based models used for investment and growth planning
• Prepare clear, concise analyses and presentations for senior leadership and internal stakeholders

Marketing Research Intern

• Project and task management on projects ranging from small to large complex remediation projects, including team assignments and coordination, client interaction, and production of deliverables.
• Preparation of work plans, design documents, and supporting deliverables, including remedial investigation and feasibility study reports.
• Performing engineering analyses/evaluations for a range of multi-disciplinary projects including upland remediation, sediment remediation, waterfront development, restoration, and source control projects.
• Technical writing to support the preparation of sampling and analysis plans, remedial investigation and feasibility study reports, and design documents.

Senior Environmental Engineer

• Performing hydrologic, hydraulic, and geomorphic analyses to support habitat restoration and fish passage projects.
• Participating in the collection of field data; completing complex analyses and calculations with oversight.
• Preparing design plans, specifications, and construction cost estimates for restoration projects with oversight.
• Developing project work and reports with oversight.
• Developing construction planning and observation documentation with oversight.
• Providing on-site construction observation and field engineering.

Junior Restoration Engineer

Technical Writer

• Perform technical editing of project deliverables and marketing materials.
• Ensure work products adhere to company brand and quality standards.
• Actively participate in workload sharing with fellow editors, often across North American regions.
• Assist in marketing efforts by reviewing RFPs/RFQs and verifying compliance.
• Provide additional project-related administrative support, such as file management, team correspondence, and workload planning.

Technical Editor

Accounting Manager

• Manage and provide day-to-day guidance for a team of accountants that perform accounting and financial activities to prepare accurate and timely financial statements.
• Oversee timely reporting of all state and local use tax returns and participate in the management of federal and state income tax returns.
• Coordinate with the Financial Planning & Analysis team on the creation and maintenance of general ledger accounts and financial reporting.
• Coordinate with the Project Accounting Manager on ensuring proper project financial reporting.
• Assist in the month-end close process by ensuring all accounting entries are posted timely and within the proper reporting period, including journal entries, accruals, estimates, client bills, vendor invoices, payments and deposits.
• Support project and senior management with ad-hoc analysis of activities such as contract pricing, utilization, accounts receivable, accounts payable and project financials.
• Review financial transactions on a regular basis ensuring data quality and accuracy.
• Complete research on new and upcoming accounting guidance and provide analysis on its impact on the company’s financial statements and processes.
• Lead and/or participate in various process improvement initiatives within the finance organization, or in coordination with other project and management teams in the company.
• Assist in the development of project and accounting policies and procedures and provide training to finance and other company employees on a regular basis.
• Support various audit activities (year-end audit, overhead rate audit, etc.) throughout the year.

• Perform task management, including team assignments and coordination, contractor management, develop budgets and schedules for projects, and manage their successful completion.
• Develop and execute field investigation and laboratory testing plans at upland and in-water project sites (position may require travel and/or field work for up to approximately 20-30%, depending on project needs; actual amount of time will vary over the course of a year).
• Assist with development of construction planning and observation documentation, construction oversight and management services.

Geotechnical Engineer
