About the role

  • Responsible for developing and executing a national sales strategy focused on large multi-state mechanical contractors and contractors owned by private equity firms
  • Work cross-functionally with regional sales teams, product management, and executive leadership
  • Drive contractor engagement, influence specification and conversion to Weil-McLain condensing boiler solutions
  • Secure long-term contractor relationships that support revenue growth and market share
  • Develop and lead a national contractor engagement strategy targeting the top 100+ mechanical contractors
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with contractor leadership teams
  • Partner with regional sales managers and reps to drive contractor conversion
  • Identify and prioritize key contractor accounts
  • Lead high-level contractor presentations, demos, and executive briefings
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Product teams
  • Track and report on contractor engagement metrics and conversion performance
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on contractor sales trends
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows

Requirements

  • 5+ years of sales experience in HVAC or building systems industry
  • Understanding of mechanical contractor landscape, especially PE-owned firms
  • Ability to sell value-based solutions in complex environments
  • Strong executive presence and communication skills with demonstrated expertise
  • Experience with CRM
  • Preferred: Experience with boiler or HVAC system sales to national contractors
  • Preferred: Familiarity with private equity ownership models
  • Preferred: Knowledge of commercial hydronic heating systems and specifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, Sales, or related field (MBA a plus)
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% nationally and must live near major metropolitan airport
  • Ability to work remote
