About the role
- SPT Labtech is growing – Sales Specialist - Structural Biology to expand within the US market; delivers automated liquid handling solutions to researchers in Structural Biology
- Seeking organized Life Sciences sales professional with knowledge of Structural Biology product market; willingness to travel
- Key responsibilities include promotion, market development and sales of liquid handling lines into structural biology, protein crystallography and Cryo-EM across the United States
- Manage pre-sale activities through to purchasing order; support post-sales
- Collaborate with Territory Managers, applications, product management, marketing to drive adoption and conduct product presentations and demonstrations
- Travel up to 50% in the US and be ideally located in the US
Requirements
- Undergraduate qualification in Biology/Chemistry/Physics; PhD strongly preferred but equivalent experience considered
- Significant Protein Crystallography and/or Cryo-EM domain knowledge
- Experience with protein sample preparation and structure determination workflows
- Commercial and business principles; experience in capital equipment sales in Life Sciences
- Ability to conduct presentations
- Familiar with CRM tools; Salesforce desirable
- Autonomous, team player; able to work remotely
- Willing to travel up to 50% in the US
