About the role
- Own credit portfolio performance analysis across our lending products, identifying emerging trends, risks, and opportunities to improve portfolio outcomes.
- Develop and refine credit strategies that balance growth, risk management, and customer experience.
- Lead deep analytical investigations into portfolio performance, underwriting outcomes, and borrower behavior to inform strategic decisions.
- Partner closely with Data Science to guide the development and implementation of predictive models and risk frameworks.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to translate credit strategy into scalable underwriting policies, automated decisioning, and platform capabilities.
- Present strategic insights and recommendations to executive leadership, internal Credit Committee, and external lending partners.
- Design and enhance analytical tools, dashboards, and reporting frameworks to improve visibility into key credit and portfolio metrics.
- Influence company-wide risk strategy by providing expert perspective on underwriting policies, portfolio management, and credit expansion opportunities.
Requirements
- 8–12+ years of experience in credit risk, lending analytics, or credit strategy within fintech, consumer lending, or financial services.
- Strong expertise in credit portfolio analytics, underwriting strategy, and risk management.
- Advanced experience working with large datasets and statistical analysis using SQL and Python.
- Experience partnering with data science teams on predictive modeling, machine learning, or risk model development.
- Proven ability to translate complex analysis into clear strategic recommendations for senior leadership.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority.
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., mathematics, statistics, economics, engineering, finance).
- Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) preferred.
