About the role
- Establish relationships at the local level to influence buying patterns, buy rates and quantities to drive sales volume
- Manage inventory with trade development partners and forecast buy rates including special and holiday packs with limited availability
- Manage within the system to obtain optimal customer margin rates and customer price points working with pricing and inventory
- Monitor and implement pricing changes, promotional pricing, and discount management across chain accounts
- Provide market information and competitive intelligence to account teams regarding pricing, merchandising, and market trends
- Coordinate inventory management activities to include stock level monitoring, replenishment planning, and allocation support
- Manage forecasting processes by providing data inputs, tracking performance against projections, identifying variance drivers, and recommending changes to achieve goals
- Partner with National, Regional, and Corporate accounts teams to ensure fast and effective execution of initiatives and compliance requirements
- Track and report sales performance, inventory turns, and program effectiveness on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field or 3-5 years of industry related sales experience
- Possess a dependable vehicle, valid driver's license, proof of state registration and insurance, and an acceptable driving record
- Manage and stay within a budget that may be assigned on behalf of the company
- Possess a clear understanding of financial acumen
- Ability to analyze data available to anticipate potential issues proactively
- Strong communication, organization, and commercial planning capabilities
- Proficiency in using Business Intelligence software such as Compass, Diver, Excel and/or Proof
- Ability to understand supplier strategies and align with internal and external teams
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
