Engineer

• Prepare documents, calculations, and supporting information necessary to design and specify various elements of SJI projects
• Coordinate and collaborate on project design to assure reliability, functionality, compliance with all applicable codes and standards
• Work to project schedules and timely deliverables
• Prepare and assist in preparation of capital and operating facility estimates, performance reports and schedule updates
• Engage in onsite system evaluations and troubleshooting; develop corrective action plans and recommendations for improved operating performance
• Understand and apply safe work and design practices in all project activities
• Work closely with project managers on various projects and collaborate with the SJI REV team and actively participate in developing project standards.

Engineer IV

Operations

• Completing all phases of core utility work regarding customer service and meter and gas pressure regulator installations.
• Conducting leak investigations and responding to emergencies of any nature.
• Installing, repairing, and maintaining distribution mains and services.
• Operating mechanical equipment.
• Other duties as defined by the CBA for the Street/Utility Job Family.

Operations Technician

Analyst

• Perform a lead role in the development of rates and ensure the timely and accurate filing of rate applications and compliance documents.
• Develop and prepare special studies and management reports.
• Interface with regulatory agencies, other departments, and external customers in support of regulatory affairs and pricing objectives.
• Oversee and prepare regulatory filings and associated tariffs, including supporting documents.
• Maintain, update and revise rate models with financial data.
• Assist with the development of new cost of service models to analyze impacts of changes.
• Provide rate-related support to outside consultants as needed.

Senior Rates Analyst

Software Engineer

• Collect, research and interpret existing facility records as part of the design process.
• Perform design of various types of natural gas distribution projects.
• Create construction plans using AutoCAD.
• Field/site visits to construction projects.
• Organize documents and analyze data.
• Perform other special projects and assignments as required.

Engineering Design Intern

• Responsible for the oversight and management of Renewable Energy Initiatives at SJI.
• The COO of SJI REV will lead strategical value, organizational impact, financial and compliance functions, resource and timing dependencies to ensure alignment against SJI/REV’s Strategic Plan.
• Responsible for the planning, operations, scheduling and management of the financial and budgetary activities of dairy farms, landfills and all Renewable Energy Venture initiatives.
• Essential duties include: develop strategic objectives, monitor progress, implement process improvements, oversee relationships, etc.
