About the role
- Work under the direction of the Area Sales Director to drive AB sales support.
- Provide support throughout the area as needed due business needs (i.e. leave of absence coverage, open territory coverage, business expansion opportunities, etc.).
- Act as a versatile resource for surgical, clinical, and consumer-facing teams, ensuring continuity of service, driving sales performance, and enhancing customer satisfaction wherever support is needed.
- Develop and execute strategic business and account plans in partnership with Area Directors and Regional Sales Teams to meet or exceed sales quotas.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with surgeons, audiologists, hospitals, and consumers to drive adoption of Advanced Bionics products.
- Represent the company at sales meetings, industry conferences, surgical trainings, and community outreach events at the national, regional, and territory level.
- Provide surgical support and training, including in-field assistance during cochlear implant procedures, temporal bone labs, and operating room on-call support.
- Deliver clinical support for device programming, patient fittings, candidacy assessments, troubleshooting, and integrity testing to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate and train healthcare providers and clinical staff on AB implant systems, features, and TeleCare programs, reinforcing AB’s value proposition.
- Apply the consumer sales process and Integrity Selling practices to counsel CI candidates, lead patient-focused events, and strengthen the sales pipeline.
- Identify, engage, and educate new lead sources while collaborating with Phonak sales counterparts on joint strategic planning and customer engagement.
- Utilize Salesforce.com CRM and other sales planning tools for call preparation, territory reviews, business reporting, and performance tracking.
- Respond promptly to customer requests and issues, ensuring effective resolution and reinforcing strong customer satisfaction.
- Travelling Requirement: Ability to travel up to 75% of the time
Requirements
- Masters or Au.D. degree in Audiology (or related field)
- Nice to Have Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology or ABA Certified
- Minimum of three year of clinical audiology experience with both adult and pediatric patients with cochlear implants.
- Nice to Have Sales Experience
- Demonstrates expertise in developing and executing targeted sales strategies to expand market share within implant centers.
- Maintains strong awareness of competitive technologies and market dynamics within the hearing implant industry.
- Possesses working knowledge of behavioral and objective procedures used in cochlear implant candidacy assessments.
- Able to demonstrate foundational knowledge of electrophysiological testing methods used with cochlear implants, including Electrically Evoked Stapedius Reflex Threshold (ESRT) and Neural Response Measurement (NRM).
- Effectively fits and troubleshoots external equipment and resolves software-related issues.
- Engages confidently and respectfully with clinical professionals, audiologists, and other stakeholders.
