About the role

  • Define the story for how enterprises securely consume and govern open-source software at scale.
  • Build messaging that resonates with developers, DevSecOps engineers, and CISOs.
  • Highlight how solutions simplify work with open source components, containers, and AI/ML models and protect against open-source malware and supply chain threats entering CI/CD pipelines.
  • Join team elevating market presence via messaging, sales enablement, and strategic content creation.
  • Leverage AI tools daily for research, content creation, competitive intelligence, and campaign execution.
  • Help define positioning, messaging, and GTM strategy for Sonatype’s software supply chain security solutions.
  • Partner with Product Management to align on roadmap priorities and use AI to analyze market demand, competitor moves, and emerging threat trends.
  • Coordinate and manage product launches and design integrated campaigns that drive demand.
  • Use AI technology to research and produce solution briefs, sales decks, website content, webinars, video content, and whitepapers.
  • Build thought leadership around open-source risk and software supply chain resilience.
  • Serve as an evangelist for Sonatype solutions at events, webinars, and in industry media.
  • Develop AI-assisted enablement tools and help train Sales and Customer Success teams.
  • Monitor evolving threat vectors and competitive offerings; use AI to process large data sets into actionable market intelligence.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in enterprise SaaS Product Marketing of cybersecurity or developer products.
  • Demonstrated experience using AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Jasper, Perplexity, AI-driven analytics platforms) as a core part of your professional workflow.
  • Excellent storytelling and communication skills across technical and executive audiences.
  • Ability to work independently, with strong collaboration skills in working with cross-functional, international teams and customers.
  • Experience working in fast-paced environments and flexible to work with teams across various time zones.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. Preferred:
  • 5+ years in enterprise SaaS Product Marketing of developer tools.
  • Experience marketing AppSec, DevSecOps, or Security & Compliance solutions.
  • Prior success positioning a technical product against well-established competitors.
  • Resides in either EST or CST time zones
  • Pragmatic Marketing certified
