About the role

  • Overall post-sales success of a customer
  • Installing hardware in a data center
  • Developing scripts to compare configurations or automate routine tasks
  • Writing integration code in Java or C#
  • Assisting customers in the monitoring and management of their deployed Solace products
  • Troubleshooting, diagnostics and responding to alerts
  • Developing best practices documents or other documents for knowledge transfer and sharing
  • Exceptional documentation and communication skills

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering; Masters in Science, Business, or Engineering an asset.
  • 5-10+ Years of Experience in application development, integration, or network operations support.
  • Technical knowledge of messaging products such as IBM MQ, TIBCO EMS/RV/BW and/or Open Source messaging such as Rabbit, ActiveMQ, Kafka, etc.
  • Understanding of SOA and JMS are essential and working knowledge of AMQP, REST, JavaScript, MQTT would all be assets.
  • Experience developing, integrating, and troubleshooting Java and/or C/C++/C# code is required.
  • Experience providing application or hardware support is desired.
  • Experience troubleshooting technical issues, including application deadlock, thread issues, and configuration errors, is expected.
  • Working experience with Technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, PaaS platforms.
  • Good knowledge of network layers and topologies as well as general understanding of routers, switches, gateways, and other networking gear.
