About the role

  • Identify, prospect and sign new commercial partnerships with: UK agricultural merchants, traders and cooperatives UK and international CPG corporates with UK supply chains
  • Own the full sales cycle: lead generation, pitching, negotiation and closing
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline aligned with revenue targets
  • Represent Soil Capital at industry events, trade shows and partner meetings
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of UK accounts post-signature
  • Launch and run programmes on the ground, working closely with partners and internal teams
  • Act as the main point of contact for UK partners, ensuring high satisfaction and long-term engagement
  • Maintain a strong field presence, including regular visits to partners and farms
  • Bring insights from the ground to inform product, commercial and go-to-market strategy
  • Contribute to the development of the UK market strategy

Requirements

  • Minimum 4–5 years of experience in: Sales, business development or commercial roles
  • Agri-food, agriculture, commodities, sustainability, or related sectors
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills, with a track record of closing B2B deals
  • Solid account management capabilities and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to operate autonomously while collaborating closely with a broader team
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and strong ownership mentality
  • Comfortable in a hybrid role blending office, field and client meetings
  • Pragmatic, hands-on and results-driven
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trust across diverse stakeholders
  • Good understanding of UK agriculture, including: Farming systems and supply chains
  • Ability to engage credibly with agricultural stakeholders on the ground
