About the role
- Report to and collaborate with the Softchoice AWS Sr Manager to ensure this sales team becomes an onramp for new customer acquisition and demand generation.
- Build strategic relationships with your AWS counterpart supporting their territory and account managers.
- Build and manage a team of dedicated AWS Account Executives who will actively grow existing AWS customers and create value through selling Softchoice AWS services.
- Help develop and manage the sales management process that activates a group of direct report AWS account executives to achieve growth targets set through the AWS agency funding investment.
- Ensuring pipeline health and pipeline conversion is achieved.
- Ensure that Salesforce.com's hygiene and processes are followed.
- Forecast reporting, pipeline review and regular communications provided on the status and progress of the team, both internally and to AWS.
- Define and document the agency sales team's processes and workflows for account growth.
- Act as a mentor and coach of the team that reports to this people leader position.
- Conduct annual performance reviews and participate in merit process.
- Ensure that all team members have an actively managed career development plan.
- Goals: Hire open roles effectively and activate/onboard new team members.
- Activate sales management process and refine where necessary.
- Hit strategic objectives (IE: service wins, AWS Marketplace transactions, adoption of our Cloud Lifecycle Services)
- Focus on strategic initiatives for the AWS SMB Engaged segment, including: VMware and Microsoft Modernization Leading with Technical Roadmap Prioritization (TRP) GenAI workshops and PACE Program Data Strategy – Working backward from AI
- Our QBR meeting through Cloud Lifecyle Services would provide value to AWS customers by moving their billing under Softchoice
Requirements
- 4+ years sales leadership experience within the technology industry (cloud-specific experience preferred).
- AWS certifications and/or accreditations (preferred).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience in presenting to large groups of people.
- Ability to build and execute a growth strategy for existing accounts.
- Experience in sales, marketing, or customer service from a technical products and services.
- Experience with CRM software (Salesforce.com preferred).
- Experience in sales operations and/or marketing automation software preferred.
- Understanding cloud professional services is required.
- Passionate about technology and learning more about Softchoice capabilities.
