About the role
- Guide our clients through modernizing their infrastructure.
- Develop hybrid infrastructure solutions and services that encompass a mix of data centers, networks, public clouds, professional services, and managed services.
- Leverage the Challenger sales methodology and knowledge-based sales processes, along with current trends and techniques, to tailor solutions to clients’ needs and business objectives.
- Collaborate with regional sales teams to develop and implement strategies to create new sales opportunities within targeted accounts.
- Develop and maintain market penetration and account management plans for assigned accounts.
- Act as the quarterback — from assessing client needs to closing contracts and promoting diversification.
- Engage pre-sales and internal support teams to deliver exceptional end-to-end service.
- Cultivate strategic relationships with key hybrid infrastructure partners and vendors.
Requirements
- Professional experience in infrastructure modernization: More than 10 years’ experience selling IT solutions in a pure sales or technical pre-sales role.
- Extensive experience aligning business outcomes and projects with technical requirements.
- Proven track record identifying and creating sales opportunities in legacy infrastructure areas such as compute, storage, and networking within data center environments.
- Deep knowledge of Cisco product lines and solutions that address modern infrastructure needs.
- Strong expertise in data center architectures, hybrid cloud, and public cloud, with hands-on experience in Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, and managed services.
- Excellent ability to build relationships and engage with client decision-makers involved in infrastructure modernization efforts.
- Demonstrated capability to manage relationships at all levels of an organization and to effectively mobilize stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.
- Excellent communication skills, particularly in conveying complex concepts related to modern infrastructure.
- Proven demand-generation skills focused on proactive selling rather than simply responding to existing demand.
- A successful track record of growing sales for managed services and professional services offerings.
- Creative and strategic thinker with a customer-centric service approach.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently within a designated sales district, up to 25% of the time.
- English fluency is required for this role, as the candidate will collaborate daily with English-only colleagues and clients outside Quebec.
