Processes military education benefits for the Student Financial Service's military education benefit team.
Completes military transactional work so the Department of Veterans Affairs and Tuition Assistance programs can be certified, validated, and paid to students accurately.
Adhere to SNHU's set of core service and support behaviors at all times.
Review course information to validate enrollment and billing to the Department of Veterans Affairs for payment of Federal Funds.
Report student suspension, dismissals and conferrals to the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Communicate with representatives of the Department of Veterans Affairs daily to ensure accuracy.
Review term by term balances in collaboration with Credit and Collection Specialists to research and resolve outstanding military account balances.
Reconcile military payments to student accounts and military certifications and invoices to ensure record integrity.
Ensure the quality of student records in Enrollment Manager, and Student Information Systems(SIS).
Maintain accurate coding for all Military Student Accounts in the SIS.
Requirements
1+ years' experience in the field of military benefit certifications, military student service, invoicing, financial aid or bursar functions, or equivalent education and experience.
Strong oral and written skills.
Employment is dependent upon successful access to the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS), which requires all federal loans to be in good standing and not in default; and a credit check to review that student loans are not default.
Knowledge of VA Education Benefits and Federal Military Tuition Assistance and any special arrangements for defined military cohorts.
Ability to work independently and in a team atmosphere.
