About the role
- Partner with hiring managers to manage offers, background checks, and onboarding.
- Administer leaves of absence, workers comp, and employee terminations with care and accuracy.
- Serve as the go-to HR contact for employees and leaders in your assigned region(s).
- Provide guidance to Regional and District Managers on all HR matters.
- Manage unemployment claims, workers comp documentation, and compliance reporting.
- Keep HR systems (ADP Workforce Now) accurate and up to date, working closely with Payroll and Accounting.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations, and recommend best practices.
- Champion our company values and foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in HR or related field
- 5+ years of HR Generalist experience in a multi-site, multi-state company
- Hands-on HR experience in California (required)
- ADP Workforce Now expertise/current knowledge
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills
- Proven ability to manage priorities, deadlines, and confidential matters with professionalism
- SHRM certification (a plus!)
