About the role
- Own and grow a portfolio of DoD accounts across the Western U.S.
- Drive opportunity identification, qualification, and deal execution for enterprise programs
- Build relationships with senior defense stakeholders, program offices, and operational users
- Influence customer requirements and acquisition strategies through early engagement
- Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver proposals, demonstrations, and customer briefings
- Maintain accurate pipeline management and forecasting discipline
- Represent Slingshot at DoD customer meetings, industry events, and regional forums
- Share customer insights and competitive intelligence with internal stakeholders
- Perform other duties as assigned (less than 10%)
Requirements
- 8+ years of enterprise B2G sales experience, or equivalent experience, with a focus on DoD customers
- Proven ability to close complex, multi-year government contracts
- Strong understanding of DoD acquisition and budgeting processes
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business-related field, or equivalent experience
- Ability to travel up to 25%, or equivalent flexibility
