About the role

  • Drive the development and maintenance of Digital Engineering & Innovation (DE&I) Architecture.
  • Create visualizations comparing current and future states of DE&I products and services.
  • Align SKF IT infrastructure with DE&I and Technology Development Business requirements.
  • Ensure IT systems and technologies are optimized to effectively support business objectives.
  • Lead the architecture and design for a future platform of sales, products and services.
  • Research, evaluate, and implement new technologies within DE&I and TD.
  • Analyze existing systems and processes to identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency gains.
  • Maintain clear communication with DE&I Management and Global IT to confirm alignment between systems and business needs.
  • Evaluate market technology options for suitability, including software and hardware solutions.

Requirements

  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics or related fields
  • 15+ Years of overall experience (5-10+ years of software development experience and 5+ years of leading architectural decisions or teams)
  • Knowledge of cloud computing, enterprise data management & IT infrastructure
  • Proficiency in programming languages & database management
  • Familiarity with EA frameworks like TOGAF, ZACHMAN or GARTNER
  • Understanding of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and event-driven systems
  • Working knowledge of development operations and automation like Kubernetes etc.
  • Knowledge of identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and compliance frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA, ISO).
