About the role

  • Lead and execute a human capital strategy aligned with company growth and operational priorities
  • Partner with senior leadership to strengthen leadership capability, accountability, and employee engagement
  • Drive workforce planning, including labor transition, reskilling, and talent redeployment across both businesses
  • Implement and reinforce performance management systems that connect goals, behaviors, and results
  • Establish and embed execution frameworks (e.g., OKRs, leadership operating rhythms) to drive accountability
  • Oversee all HR functions including talent acquisition, employee relations, training, compensation & benefits, HRIS, payroll, and compliance
  • Use workforce data and HR metrics to inform decision-making and improve organizational performance
  • Support M&A activity including HR due diligence and post-acquisition integration
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation, health & safety, and food safety (SQF/GMP) standards

Requirements

  • 8–10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, preferably in manufacturing or operational environments
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business, or related field
  • Strong knowledge of employment standards, labour relations, and HR compliance
  • Proven experience implementing HR systems, performance frameworks, and workforce development programs
  • Demonstrated ability to partner cross-functionally with Operations and Finance
