About the role

  • Plan, direct and manage the day-to-day activities of assigned staff and ambulatory services operations
  • Assure provisions of quality patient care in a safe environment
  • Provide direct patient care within the scope and practice of an RN as necessary
  • Function as a member of an interdisciplinary team and act as a resource to staff and the general public
  • Accountable for overall management of patient care, nursing staff, and ancillary staff in Surgical Services
  • Provide supervision to RNs, OR Techs, NA and ancillary staff
  • Develops annual operating and capital equipment budgets
  • Collaborate with administrative, medical and interdisciplinary staff in the analysis and improvement of programs
  • Maintain inventory of supplies required to provide services

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (BSN) required
  • 2-5 years of previous experience in surgery, cleft lip and palate plastics, pediatric, critical care, orthopedics, and/or related areas
  • Previous experience in management as a charge nurse or other frontline leadership capacity
  • Active RN license in CA
  • ACLS/BLS and PALS, required
  • Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) - preferred
