About the role
- Plan, direct and manage the day-to-day activities of assigned staff and ambulatory services operations
- Assure provisions of quality patient care in a safe environment
- Provide direct patient care within the scope and practice of an RN as necessary
- Function as a member of an interdisciplinary team and act as a resource to staff and the general public
- Accountable for overall management of patient care, nursing staff, and ancillary staff in Surgical Services
- Provide supervision to RNs, OR Techs, NA and ancillary staff
- Develops annual operating and capital equipment budgets
- Collaborate with administrative, medical and interdisciplinary staff in the analysis and improvement of programs
- Maintain inventory of supplies required to provide services
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (BSN) required
- 2-5 years of previous experience in surgery, cleft lip and palate plastics, pediatric, critical care, orthopedics, and/or related areas
- Previous experience in management as a charge nurse or other frontline leadership capacity
- Active RN license in CA
- ACLS/BLS and PALS, required
- Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) - preferred
