Oversee and develop all trade lanes in and out of the Shipco Asia region
Conceptualize, lead and manage marketing strategies and sales targets for regional tradelanes
Visit key markets to investigate operations and local conditions
Liaise with regional and local sales & marketing teams to evaluate sales opportunities, customer feedback and business observations
Devise responsive action plans and strategic initiatives to advance Shipco Transport's commercial interests across the region
Lead a team of tradelane managers to develop and maintain regional share of business for international clients within Asia trade lanes
Manage relationship with LATAM partners for Asia
Engage with all sales teams and provide action plans so sales teams can promote and sell trade lane attributes and provide customised solutions
Lead team to develop a robust pipeline to meet budget and trade lane strategic and financial objectives
Analyze trade lane market conditions to ensure effective/optimal pricing and service development
Provide leadership and support to the extended tradelane development team for maintenance and growth of trade lane specific business
Participate in the integration of new customers through effective engagement with overseas teams
Lead team to expand services as necessary and stabilise them
Engage with Product to maintain baseload for the services
Manage monthly status reporting to management with volume and income variances
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain Management or related field with a master degree being advantageous.
5+ years’ experience in the Ocean/Air freight industries
Spanish speaker strongly preferred.
Fluent English needed
Experience in commercial and operational roles in freight management/NVOCC business (Product/Commercial Building Development/Tender Management) is a strong advantage
Experience of operating in global, matrix business environment
Strong commercial mind-set and good product knowledge
