💰 $20 - $28 per hour

About the role

  • Assist customer request for assistance in bookings, quotes, pickups and general transportation related questions.
  • Ensure Inland Pickups are followed through, and Inland Transportation agreements are met.
  • Reach out to overseas offices and agents for hazardous and other required approvals.
  • Trouble shooting between customers and Shipco/Agent offices.
  • Ensure that shipments processed are in compliance with the laws and regulations governing for US Export Industry.
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in ocean export customer service and/or operations is required, preferably from a NVOCC background, but a candidate with VOCC or freight forwarder experience will also be considered.
  • Knowledgeable in all aspects of export customer service and/or operations.
  • Strong data entry skills required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent organization skills, attention to details and an aptitude for a fast paced, multi-tasking, customer service minded environment.
  • Resourceful and out of the box thinking.
  • Relies on pre-established guidelines.
  • Reports to the FCL Manager.
